What you will do

• Install, test, splice, and maintain fiber optic cables in underground, aerial, and building environments.
• Perform fusion splicing on single-mode ribbon and loose-tube fiber cables and terminate ST, SC, and LC connectors.
• Install and test pressurized and non-pressurized closures across different cable types and sizes.
• Perform optical continuity, conformance, and troubleshooting activities.
• Review maps, drawings, blueprints, and testing documentation.
• Maintain splicing and testing equipment and complete rearrangements on existing facilities.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience installing, splicing, and testing fiber optic cables.
• Working knowledge of fusion splicing and optical testing equipment, including Alcoa Fujikura, GN Net Test, EXFO, Fitel, Sumitomo, and Viavi.
• Working knowledge of GS150 and GS350 Fiber Jetters.
• Ability to climb and work at elevations using ladders, poles, and lift trucks.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and maintain a safety-conscious approach.
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including varied hours and days of the week.
