Salary: $93,000–$130,000 per year; most qualified candidates receive $93,000–$97,400.

What you will do

• Lead the ongoing development, implementation, and quality of the school’s special education program.
• Monitor services for students with IEPs, including testing accommodations, classroom modifications, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate Behavior Intervention Plans, student support planning, family communication, and re-evaluations.
• Manage Special Education Coordinators and coordinate paraprofessionals, related service providers, teachers, and social workers.
• Run Special Education Team meetings, coach staff, and collaborate with school and network leaders.
• Use assessment data to inform instruction, support school culture, and teach classes or small groups when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least five years of teaching and leadership experience in an urban public or charter school.
• Special Education teaching certification required.
• Proven classroom achievement and strong knowledge of academic subjects.
• Commitment to supporting students with disabilities, urban youth, and the school’s educational philosophy.
• Self-motivation, collaboration, and willingness to uphold high behavioral and academic expectations.
