What you will do

  • Manage planning, design, and specialty services for stormwater and water resources engineering projects.
  • Lead work involving hydrology, hydraulics, floodplain analyses, detention and water quality BMP design, stream restoration, bridge scour, and trail design.
  • Develop stormwater management plans, MS4 compliance solutions, and water rights projects.
  • Manage teams of engineers delivering stormwater engineering services.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers in technical and non-technical aspects of stormwater engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • At least 15 years of stormwater engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado or the ability to obtain it upon hire, with experience providing engineering services in the state.
  • Practical experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and XPSWMM.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing engineering teams and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; business-related travel using a company or personal vehicle is required.

Nice to have

  • Business development and client management experience.
  • Experience developing and guiding construction plan packages or master planning studies.
  • Experience with FEMA Letters of Map Change, floodplain mapping, AutoCAD, and GIS.
  • Experience overseeing stormwater project construction and installations.
