TL;DR

Senior Engineer, Advanced Research (Thermal Management): Leading technical exploration and development of next-generation electronics liquid cooling solutions with an accent on high-performance compute (HPC) and power electronics. Location: Must be based in Oakville, ON, Canada

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 CAD

What you will do

  • Advance novel HPC thermal management solutions balancing performance, manufacturability, and cost.
  • Lead early-stage technical investigations using first principles analysis, simulation, and experimentation.
  • Engage with customer engineering teams to define requirements for next-generation liquid cooling products.
  • Guide global CAE teams in applying thermal-fluid models to evaluate concepts and inform design decisions.
  • Coordinate the design, fabrication, and validation of advanced prototypes.
  • Communicate technical findings through reports, presentations, and patent-related activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in advanced development, applied research, or product innovation.
  • Strong foundation in heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat exchanger design.
  • Practical experience with thermal simulation (CFD/FEA) and prototype development.
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or similar tools for engineering analysis.
  • Must be based in Oakville, ON.

Nice to have

  • Experience with controlled-atmosphere brazing.
  • Familiarity with high-performance computing environments.
  • Fluency in additional languages beyond English.
