Junior Recruiter

Location: Hybrid role in McLean, Virginia, USA; on-site attendance is required every Wednesday and local candidates only. Standard working hours are 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST.

Salary: $55,000–$60,000 annually.

What you will do

• Support full-cycle recruiting from requisition intake through onboarding for technical and corporate roles.
• Source and engage candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, SmartRecruiters, job boards, professional networks, referrals, and digital recruiting channels.
• Screen resumes and candidates for technical experience, certifications, qualifications, and alignment with role requirements.
• Coordinate interviews, candidate profiles, offer letters, onboarding activities, and new-hire orientation.
• Maintain accurate recruiting records and build talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Partner with hiring managers, HR, security personnel, candidates, universities, and professional organizations.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and local availability to work on-site in McLean every Wednesday are required.
• At least two years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or staffing, including technical sourcing and screening.
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruiting platforms.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems; SmartRecruiters experience is highly preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of IT and cybersecurity recruiting, plus the ability to assess technical qualifications.
• Strong organization, communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and follow-through skills; proficiency with Microsoft 365.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
• Federal government contracting recruiting experience.
• Experience with security-clearance positions, proposal recruiting, capture efforts, or business development initiatives.
• Knowledge of AI, data analytics, cybersecurity, cloud modernization, enterprise IT operations, application development, systems integration, and emerging technologies.
