TL;DR
Account Executive, K-12 Education Partnerships (SLED) (K-12 education sales): Building new partnerships with community-based organizations, charter networks, and small-to-mid-size school districts through consultative sales, with an accent on pipeline generation, multi-stakeholder deals, and public education funding cycles. Focus on self-sourcing high-velocity opportunities, diagnosing curriculum and staffing gaps, and developing a scalable GalileoX sales playbook.

Location: Preferred in Oakland, California or the Greater San Francisco Bay Area; hybrid work is required for Bay Area employees. Remote work may be possible within California. Headquarters: Oakland, California. Occasional camp-location visits are expected from June through August, with 10–15% travel possible for employees outside a camp territory.

Salary: $75,000–$120,000 OTE annually, including base and commission.

What you will do

  • Build and manage a high-velocity pipeline of new partnerships with community-based organizations, charter networks, and small-to-mid-size school districts.
  • Lead consultative discovery to identify staffing capacity, instructor confidence, curriculum gaps, and customer needs.
  • Close multi-stakeholder deals typically ranging from $25,000 to $75,000 and align proposals with public education funding cycles.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting, qualify inbound and SDR-referred leads, and identify enterprise-scale opportunities for executive sales leadership.
  • Represent GalileoX at afterschool, expanded learning, and SLED conferences and convenings.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, forecast reliably, communicate pipeline risks, and help develop a repeatable sales playbook.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of full-cycle, quota-carrying closing experience with a demonstrated record of achieving sales targets.
  • Experience selling in K-12 education, SLED, charter networks, or community-based educational organizations.
  • Strong understanding of public school operations, including district structures, board approvals, RFPs, and funding streams such as ELO-P, ASES, 21st CCLC, and Title I.
  • Ability to self-source pipeline, manage high-velocity sales cycles, run deep discovery, and qualify opportunities effectively.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex educational solutions clearly.
  • CRM proficiency and comfort using pipeline data to manage priorities, documentation, and forecasting.
