What you will do
- Own the full sales cycle to sell solutions/services to new and existing clients in an assigned area to meet revenue objectives.
- Research and identify new business opportunities; engage prospective customers and build a pipeline.
- Match products/solutions to customer needs and plan, prioritize, and run client discussions.
- Protect and grow customer relationships and influence by executing a defined account plan with key decision makers.
- Act as a strategic advisor by aligning capabilities to client business needs and sharing customer insights internally.
- Manage pipeline and provide daily/weekly sales activity reports using SharePoint, CRM, and Excel; coordinate follow-ups with Account Management and Client Services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) plus 7+ years of direct sales experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the state, local, or education industry (preferably in solutions sales) with a track record of facilitating, negotiating, and closing transactions.
- Proven ability to acquire new customer relationships and achieve/exceed individual sales targets.
- Strong solution selling skills with influencing and negotiation ability; consultative and relationship-focused approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex concepts to executive audiences.
- Ability to travel up to 40%.
