Senior Sourcing Specialist / ME Sourcing Manager (Packaging)

What you will do

• Source mechanical commodities according to engineering requirements and sourcing strategy.
• Manage the packaging portfolio, including offset printing, corrugated boxes, printing documents, pulps, blisters, plastic trays, stickers, and labels.
• Expand sourcing responsibility to catalog parts, die-cut components, and other commodities as required.
• Manage tooling and parts vendors across quality, supply, and cost terms.
• Secure supply against demand, resolve quality and supply issues, and manage supplier escalations.
• Drive cost avoidance for new product introduction parts and cost reductions for existing mass-production parts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in high-volume consumer manufacturing operations involving relevant commodities.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical industry procure-to-pay processes.
• Understanding of the technical and commercial attributes of the managed commodities.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
• Bahasa Malaysia is a strong advantage.
• Regional and occasional supplier travel; visits in the Johor and Singapore area are not considered travel.
