Quality Technician

Location: Onsite at the Rosenberg Plant and Distribution Center, Rosenberg, Texas, USA

What you will do

• Perform receiving, in-process, final, and pre-shipment inspections using approved procedures, specifications, control plans, and inspection equipment.
• Verify product identification, labeling, packaging, quantity, reel condition, preservation, and traceability before release or shipment.
• Identify, contain, segregate, document, and coordinate the disposition of nonconforming materials and products.
• Maintain inspection records, quality documentation, work instructions, and traceability information across manufacturing and distribution processes.
• Support root-cause investigations, corrective and preventive actions, audits, supplier-quality activities, and quality performance reporting.
• Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives and help standardize quality processes across plant and distribution operations.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field, or at least two years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial quality environment.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution operations and basic knowledge of inspections, containment, nonconformance, root-cause analysis, and corrective action.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or a comparable Quality Management System.
• Ability to interpret work orders, drawings, specifications, procedures, inspection plans, acceptance criteria, and customer requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, plus the ability to analyze and report quality data.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction. Must be at least 18 years old and able to meet the listed physical, safety, background-check, drug-screen, and physical requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in wire, wire rope, metals, fabrication, or another industrial manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with API Q1, Production Part Approval Processes, First Article Inspections, control plans, audits, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.
• Experience with JD Edwards, Intelex, quality dashboards, performance reports, or data-tracking tools.
