Corporate Development Integration Lead (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA; staff are expected to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time

Annual salary: $325,000–$425,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead post-LOI confirmatory diligence across legal, finance, product, engineering, and research teams.
• Develop acquisition-specific diligence frameworks covering technical assets, talent, intellectual property, and organizational fit.
• Assess integration readiness, identify risks, and provide go/no-go recommendations before deal close.
• Design integration plans covering organizational structure, reporting lines, tooling migration, product roadmap alignment, and day-one continuity.
• Drive day-one and day-100 execution, track milestones, escalate blockers, and support acquired teams during the transition.
• Build integration KPIs and retrospectives covering retention, product milestones, operational readiness, and lessons learned.

Requirements

• Strong technical fluency through software engineering, product experience, or evaluation of technical organizations and codebases.
• Ability to coordinate effectively across product, engineering, legal, HR, finance, research, and executive leadership.
• Experience translating strategic objectives into operational plans with clear timelines, owners, and accountability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
• Alignment with the mission of building reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of corporate development or M&A integration experience at high-growth technology companies.
• Experience in AI/ML companies, deep learning research, acquihire integrations, or technical talent retention.
• Experience building integration playbooks, frameworks, and repeatable corporate development processes.
• MBA or advanced technical degree in computer science or an equivalent field.
• Experience with simultaneous integrations and international or cross-border transactions.
