Infrastructure Engineer (Azure) (Microsoft infrastructure and regulated financial services): Supporting and improving enterprise infrastructure across Windows Server, identity, networking, cloud, virtualisation, security remediation, and operational governance with an accent on third-line support, hybrid infrastructure, and audit readiness. Focus on delivering migrations and integrations, resolving vulnerabilities and legacy platform risks, managing controlled infrastructure changes, and producing technical evidence for regulatory and security assessments.

What you will do
- Provide third-line technical support across Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, certificates, virtualisation, storage, networking, firewalls, Azure services, and operational tooling.
- Support infrastructure delivery for projects, service transitions, migrations, decommissioning, and mergers and acquisitions integration.
- Own remediation and operational tasks from investigation and planning through implementation, validation, and handover.
- Assess change impact, risk, and dependencies; prepare change records and represent changes at CAB or equivalent governance forums.
- Support security, compliance, and audit reviews by gathering technical evidence and maintaining remediation, asset, access, backup, vulnerability, and change information.
Requirements
- Experience as a third-line Infrastructure Engineer or equivalent in a complex, regulated, or enterprise environment.
- Broad Microsoft infrastructure experience covering Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, certificate services, authentication, file services, and server administration.
- Experience supporting cloud and hybrid infrastructure, preferably including Azure and AVD.
- Experience with monitoring tools, networking, firewall concepts, security remediation, vulnerability management, TLS and certificate changes, and audit evidence gathering.
- Experience with CAB and change management processes, including impact assessment, rollback planning, testing evidence, and stakeholder communication.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, NIST-aligned assessments, SWIFT customer security controls, or Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Financial services or other regulated industry experience.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Tenable, Defender, Vulcan, OneTrust, or equivalent tooling.
- Exposure to M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Apps, Power Automate, or Power BI.
- Relevant Microsoft, cloud, networking, or security certifications.
