Managed IT Services Field Engineer

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom; full-time office work and on-site inspections across customer sites

What you will do

• Assess, document, and optimize customer IT infrastructure through site audits.
• Provide onsite IT support and troubleshoot Windows, software, hardware, and networking issues.
• Install and configure IT hardware, including PCs, monitors, and routers.
• Verify infrastructure compliance with organizational standards and best practices.
• Manage multiple audit and support tasks independently and maintain clear documentation.
• Travel to branches, warehouses, and other customer sites; occasionally work after hours during upgrades or audits.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT support, service desk, or field support engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with onsite IT setup, troubleshooting, and hardware installation.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between sites.
• Ability to lift IT hardware and work in network/server rooms while performing cable assessments.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with IT asset management tools.
• IT, Computer Science, or related degree or diploma, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of network diagrams, patch panels, and structured cabling standards.
• CompTIA A+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Admin, ITIL Foundation, or CCNA certification.
