IT Engineer

TL;DR

IT Engineer (End-User Support): Providing onsite technical support for PCs, Macs, mobile devices, networks, telephony, audiovisual equipment, and live-streamed auctions with an accent on device management, service restoration, and user experience. Location: London office, onsite four days per week, with regional and occasional global travel and schedule flexibility for night and weekend sales.

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day technical support for PCs, Macs, phones, printers, network hardware, audiovisual equipment, and internal users.
• Image, deploy, enroll, and manage PC, Mac, and iOS devices using Microsoft Intune, including administration of the mobile phone fleet.
• Support live-streamed auctions and sales technology, including telephony, networked printers, audiovisual systems, and proprietary video-streaming platforms.
• Restore normal service during production incidents, troubleshoot technical problems, and minimize business impact.
• Deliver white-glove onboarding and offboarding support while improving related processes with IT and HR leadership.
• Coordinate with contracted engineers, the outsourced helpdesk, and global IT teams while supporting inventory management and technical improvements.

Requirements

• At least five years of end-user support experience in a global IT environment.
• At least two years of experience managing technical projects, including resource and budget planning.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory administration and a basic understanding of network protocols and architectures.
• Experience supporting contractors and consultants, working autonomously, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
• Experience producing live-streamed events using networked audiovisual technologies.
• Ability to work from the London office four days per week and adjust working hours for night and weekend sales.

Nice to have

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in a startup or rapidly evolving environment.
• Experience creating internal process documentation and training materials.
