Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Woodland Hills, California, USA; hybrid work schedule

Salary: $125,000–$160,000 annually, plus paid overtime and a discretionary year-end bonus.

What you will do

• Design electrical systems, including medium- and low-voltage AC/DC systems, power distribution, single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and load calculations.
• Prepare construction documents, power system studies, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Develop interior and exterior lighting designs and perform foot-candle calculations to meet IESNA requirements.
• Support projects through design and construction by reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, addressing AHJ comments, and attending site visits.
• Lead internal and client meetings, present design approaches to authorities having jurisdiction, and coordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Review deliverables through QA/QC processes, manage multiple projects, and supervise a small team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering or a related field.
• PE license in Electrical Engineering held for at least three years.
• At least five years of electrical design experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and OSHPD/HCAI projects.
• Knowledge of Title 24 Part 6 California Energy Conservation Code.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, critical-thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with multifamily, commercial, institutional, and higher education projects.
• Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems, SKM or ETAP, and PVsyst.
• Project management, supervisory, and people-management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, or Bluebeam.
