CNC Machinist (CNC)

Location: Onsite in Aurora, Ohio, USA; 2nd shift, Monday–Thursday, 3:00 p.m.–1:00 a.m.

Salary: USD 24–29 per hour. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is available, paid in installments at 90 and 180 days.

What you will do

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce machined parts according to production schedules.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering plans, material specifications, machining parameters, and complex GD&T requirements.
• Install and adjust tooling, attachments, collets, bushings, stops, offsets, and compensation with minimal assistance.
• Load raw materials, verify machine settings, inspect first-run and sample parts, and measure finished components.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, edit existing programs, replace worn tools, and implement corrective measures.
• Maintain production records, equipment, supplies, quality standards, and workplace safety.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Machining Technology or a related field plus three years of CNC machining experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient CNC machining skills, including programming edits, tooling, blueprint reading, and arc/radius programming.
• Ability to use dimensional measuring tools and equipment and apply geometry, trigonometry, and mathematical calculations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to determine, sharpen, and fabricate tooling for specific applications.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, walk, and handle materials; lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently.
• Effective English communication by telephone, in person, and in writing is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with FANUC controls.
• Experience operating Haas mills and lathes.
• Experience with coordinate-measuring machines (CMM).
• Ability to coach and guide others in machining techniques and standard operating procedures.
