CNC Machinist (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite, second shift from 2:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

Pay range: $23–$49 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC mills and lathes to manufacture hardware from billet and additively manufactured materials.
• Read setup sheets, tool lists, and aerospace drawings, and apply appropriate speeds and feeds.
• Inspect parts during production using optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, and in-process inspection plans.
• Perform first-article inspections, deburr parts, and communicate quality issues to machining leadership.
• Complete basic machine maintenance, including chip removal, coolant and fluid checks, and machine cleaning.
• Coordinate with the machining team and hand over workload to the following shift.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of CNC machining experience.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes and interpret aerospace drawings.
• Ability to perform in-process and first-article inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export-control regulations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and oral and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of CNC machine experience with Haas and Fanuc controls.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and G code.
• Experience with additive-manufactured parts and multi-axis mill, lathe, mill-turn, and turn-mill operations.
• Ability to operate up to two machines simultaneously.
• High school diploma, college or trade school certificate, or equivalent work experience.
