Software Engineer II (Hybrid - 2x/week)

Location: Hybrid, with two days per week in-office; candidates must live within commuting distance of offices in Little Rock, Arkansas; Dallas, Texas; Mentor, Ohio; Miamisburg, Ohio; or New Century, Kansas, United States.

Salary: $75,000–$111,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable .NET Core microservices and Angular web interfaces for the storeLink retail management platform.
• Build capabilities for in-store price tag printing, Electronic Shelf Label device management, and digital video screen display management.
• Maintain and optimize MS SQL data structures and support Azure-hosted services, including AKS, Service Bus, Blob Storage, Front Door, Application Insights, and Azure AI Search.
• Integrate microservices with external systems through REST APIs, including rendering engines for PDF and PNG generation.
• Manage GitHub version control and GitHub Actions build and release pipelines.
• Partner with L2 Technical Support to investigate escalated production issues and deliver reliable, high-performance applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field with 4+ years of software development experience, or a master’s degree with 1+ years of experience.
• Enterprise web application development experience with .NET Core, C#, Angular, RESTful Web APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Strong MS SQL and T-SQL skills, including schema design, query optimization, and managed database instances.
• Practical experience with Azure cloud components and continuous integration and deployment using GitHub Actions.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills for resolving complex technical issues and presenting designs to engineering leadership.
• Availability to work in the office two days per week and reside within commuting distance of one of the listed U.S. offices.
