Engineer II, Software (Fullstack)

Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States; hybrid arrangement with on-site work four days per week for associates based in Richmond.

Salary: $88,800–$133,200 annually, with possible bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Design and build responsive web applications for customer service and collections associates in a high-volume call-center environment.
• Develop Angular user interfaces and C#/.NET middle-layer services integrated with enterprise systems, including the Alfa loan-accounting platform.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and integration services connecting web applications with backend and third-party systems.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, operations teams, and technology partners to turn servicing and collections processes into effective workflows.
• Support the full software lifecycle, including design, development, testing, implementation, deployment, and production support.
• Improve application performance, usability, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 2 years of professional experience building full-stack web applications with modern frontend interfaces and API or middle-tier services.
• Proficiency with Angular 17+, Angular Material, C#, .NET 8+, YARP, SSO authentication, and mTLS.
• Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs and working with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
• Knowledge of secure coding, authentication, authorization, encryption, sensitive-data handling, unit testing, integration testing, Git, and GitHub.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with internal operational, workflow, customer service, servicing, collections, or financial applications.
• Knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, CI/CD, build automation, release management, IIS, and performance testing.
• Experience with Azure data services, Snowflake, stored procedures, advanced SQL, or regulated data environments.
• Agile development experience and direct collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Experience with Spectator, Jasmine, Playwright, TeamCity, SOAP, or NuGet.
