Application Development Engineer (Microsoft)

Location: Based in any U.S. office: Century City, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Orange County, Palo Alto, San Francisco, or Washington, D.C.

Annual compensation: $140,000–$170,000, depending on qualifications and operational considerations.

What you will do

• Develop and support enterprise business applications, custom SharePoint solutions, intranet and portal sites, Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, integrations, reports, and Microsoft 365 solutions.
• Build SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server forms, components, workflows, collaboration sites, portals, and knowledge management solutions.
• Design Power Platform solutions, including Canvas and Model-Driven Apps, automated flows, Power BI dashboards, Dataverse solutions, Power Pages, and AI Builder capabilities.
• Develop integrations across Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, Azure, SQL Server, Boomi, and third-party systems using REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, web services, and custom connectors.
• Develop SQL Server database objects, reporting solutions, and ETL processes while assisting with performance tuning and optimization.
• Participate in cloud modernization, migration, architecture, testing, peer reviews, deployments, documentation, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in application development, workflow development, systems integration, or programmer/analyst roles.
• Proficiency with .NET Framework and/or .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, PowerShell, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, XML, and XSL/XSLT.
• Hands-on experience with custom SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server solutions, including forms, components, administration, and configuration.
• Working proficiency with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, Power Pages, AI Builder, Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Experience developing enterprise integrations with REST APIs, Microsoft Graph API, web services, and custom connectors, plus Azure DevOps, Git, or Team Foundation Server.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience; strong analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Boomi, K2, Nintex, IntApp Intake, Power Platform governance and Center of Excellence frameworks, Copilot Studio, Microsoft AI technologies, and ALM practices.
• Microsoft Power Platform and/or Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Experience supporting business-critical systems in legal, professional services, or other highly regulated environments.
