Software Engineer (C#)

Location: Remote, work from home; main office in Commerce Township, Michigan, United States

Salary: $60,000–$80,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience

What you will do

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Research software issues by examining code and help team members and customers resolve defects and product questions.
• Gather requirements from customers and collaborate with the product manager and engineering team on solution design.
• Create defect-resolution plans, estimate development tasks, and support planning across multiple projects.
• Write and refine customer-facing and developer technical documentation.
• Keep current with software industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of development experience with C#, WinForms or WPF, object-oriented programming, and multithreaded applications.
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server and database design.
• 3+ years of experience with ASP.NET, Angular, Web API, and RESTful web services.
• 3+ years of Git and Azure DevOps experience, plus a portfolio demonstrating proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and VB, C#, or ASP.NET.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required. Independent work, effective communication, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver with limited supervision are also required.

Nice to have

• Mobile development experience.
• Previous technical support, customer service, or similar experience.
• Experience delivering critical business software through the complete design, development, testing, and release cycle.
