Cybersecurity Team Lead

What you will do

• Provide technical direction and hands-on support to Security Analysts during incidents and investigations.
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex security incidents and high-risk situations.
• Lead HIPAA, SOC 2, cyber insurance, and related compliance initiatives, including audits, documentation, and remediation tracking.
• Conduct security assessments, risk reviews, and client consultations on cybersecurity strategy and best practices.
• Own and optimize Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Huntress, email security, vulnerability management, and related platforms.
• Drive root cause analysis, process improvements, documentation standards, reporting, and analyst mentoring.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in an MSP, MSSP, healthcare, regulated industry, or similar environment.
• Direct experience with compliance programs such as HIPAA, SOC 2, or cyber insurance requirements, including audits, evidence gathering, and remediation.
• Strong technical expertise in Microsoft security technologies, identity management, endpoint security, and incident response.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and security reviews, with strong troubleshooting, analytical, decision-making, and documentation skills.
• Ability to explain security and compliance concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willingness and ability to work full-time on-site at the Lakewood, New Jersey office.
