Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions for IT infrastructure and sensitive data.
• Manage security operations center functions, including monitoring and analyzing alerts, events, and incidents.
• Lead incident response investigations, containment, remediation, and root-cause analysis.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
• Deploy and manage EDR/XDR, firewalls, intrusion detection, and endpoint protection tools.
• Secure networks, servers, endpoints, and Office 365 configurations while documenting incidents and training staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, SOC analysis, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, risk mitigation, network protocols, cloud security, encryption, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with SIEM, firewalls, antivirus, endpoint security, and security incident detection and response.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in an office environment and respond to security incidents outside normal working hours when necessary.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, GCIH, or Security+.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or other scripting and programming languages.
