What you will do

  • Support construction branch operations and contract administration for initial, interim, and closeout activities.
  • Analyze, process, organize, extract, compile, and maintain information from field notes, manuals, laboratory reports, and progress payment estimates.
  • Conduct routine inspections and monitor facilities, utilities, and infrastructure systems.
  • Collect operational data, maintain records, and support preventive maintenance, inspections, audits, and emergency operations.
  • Coordinate training records, branch manual versions, equipment tracking, meetings, notes, and funding reconciliation reports.
  • Coordinate with government personnel, senior engineers, contractors, and related departments to resolve problems and service requests.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Work must be performed on-site at the FHWA WFLHD facilities in Vancouver, Washington.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Facilities Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Alternatively, at least one year of college progressing toward an associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field, plus at least one year of construction project administration experience.
  • Basic engineering operations knowledge, inspection and monitoring skills, documentation and reporting ability, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Technical proficiency, attention to detail, safety awareness, teamwork, critical thinking, and ability to follow procedures are required.
