Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer (Nuclear/Process Chemical)

What you will do

• Provide instrumentation and controls engineering support to assigned SRR engineering teams.
• Perform engineering analyses and field system walkdowns.
• Develop designs and design output documents, including P&IDs, control logics, loop diagrams, instrument indices, and setpoint lists.
• Prepare instrument and control valve specifications, DCS and PLC designs, instrument installation designs, and panel layouts.
• Review vendor documentation and apply SRR processes and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, nuclear, or I&C engineering, or current Professional Engineer registration in one of these disciplines.
• At least five years of design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry.
• Demonstrated design experience with PLCs and distributed control systems.
• Ability to perform field system walkdowns.
• Full-time availability for a 40-hour work week; available schedules include 5/8s, 4/10s, and 9/80s.
• Security clearance is not required.

Nice to have

• Experience with 2D MicroStation computer-aided drafting and design.
