Instrumentation Controls & Electrical Superintendent (Nuclear Energy)

Location: Orangeville, Utah, United States; onsite field work with variable schedules and travel between project locations

What you will do

• Lead IC&E field operations across facilities and projects, supervising front-line supervisors, technicians, apprentices, and technical crews.
• Plan manpower, staffing, equipment, materials, schedules, and resource allocation across multiple priorities.
• Oversee installation, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, commissioning, startup, and system turnover.
• Coordinate field execution with Engineering, Operations, Construction, Project Management, and other disciplines.
• Identify execution, safety, quality, technical, staffing, and scheduling risks and develop solutions.
• Recruit, develop, coach, evaluate, and retain IC&E personnel while supporting training, apprenticeship, qualification, and continuous-improvement programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Extensive hands-on experience with instrumentation, control systems, industrial electrical systems, industrial maintenance, construction, or commissioning.
• Proven experience supervising technical craft personnel and front-line supervisors.
• Experience with installation, calibration, testing, commissioning, startup, maintenance, and troubleshooting, plus the ability to interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, specifications, and work packages.
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety, quality requirements, work controls, field risk management, team development, performance management, and resource planning.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. Willingness to work variable schedules and travel between project locations is required.

Nice to have

• Experience as an IC&E/I&E Superintendent, IC&E Manager, Electrical & Instrumentation Manager, General Foreman, or senior IC&E Supervisor.
• Experience in nuclear, power generation, utilities, advanced energy, chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, manufacturing, EPC, or industrial/process facilities.
• Advanced knowledge of control loops, PLC/DCS systems, industrial electrical systems, and process equipment.
• Technical education, apprenticeship, or certifications such as OSHA or NFPA 70E.
