Senior Software Engineer - Data Acquisition (Python/AWS)

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance systems and infrastructure for data scraping pipelines.
• Build web-based applications and support microservices deployed in cloud environments.
• Design scalable, resilient, and secure data platform solutions using Python and AWS.
• Implement test automation, architectural principles, and modern software engineering practices.
• Collaborate across teams to solve complex technical problems and drive adoption of new platform capabilities.
• Work with technical leadership to evolve the Data Platform and share knowledge across engineering teams.

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience as a software engineer.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python and AWS, including ECS, Lambda, Glue, Docker/ECR, and CI/CD.
• Experience designing and operating scalable AWS-based data and backend platforms.
• Experience with Terraform-driven infrastructure automation, web application development, microservices architecture, and cloud deployment.
• Experience building and optimizing scalable data systems on Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, with excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CloudFormation and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with TypeScript, Node, DataHub, or modern metadata and data catalogue platforms.
