What you will do
- Execute the migration of legacy ETL and microservices to AWS, refactoring monolithic code into containerized services.
- Develop end-to-end data flows using AWS Glue, EMR, and Snowflake with Lakehouse patterns.
- Build and maintain production-grade Terraform or AWS CDK modules for infrastructure provisioning.
- Implement observability using Amazon CloudWatch and OpenTelemetry to ensure system reliability.
- Optimize Spark job configurations and ECS auto-scaling policies for performance.
- Lead peer code reviews and enforce standards for security and maintainability.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering and Cloud Infrastructure.
- Deep technical expertise in Amazon ECS (Fargate/EC2) and container security.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java, Python, and SQL.
- Proven experience with Snowflake and modern data lakehouse architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Spark, Kafka, and orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
