Senior Engineer (Python)

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Participate in the full application lifecycle, focusing on feature development and user value.
• Develop, test, integrate, and deploy backend and API stacks.
• Maintain high availability for internal and external web services.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, QA, and Product Owners to shape new features.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience building and shipping scalable web applications.
• Strong experience with Python and cloud services on AWS.
• Experience deploying containerized applications with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Experience with databases and ETL systems, including PostgreSQL.
• Test-driven development mindset with solid CI/CD and documentation practices.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.

Nice to have

• Experience with Django, FastAPI, pandas, SQLAlchemy, dbt, Argo, Kubernetes, or Linux.
• Interest in remote sensing systems and space.
