Care Manager - BH (Onsite, PA, Hollidaysburg)

Location: Onsite, Monday–Friday, at the Blair County OMH office, 81 Holliday Hills Dr., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648. This position is not available for remote work.

Salary: $64,285–$102,855 per year, with potential short-term incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Authorize and review the medical necessity and effectiveness of inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance abuse services.
• Perform concurrent and quality clinical reviews, telephone triage, crisis intervention, and emergency authorizations.
• Develop and oversee discharge plans in collaboration with providers and facilities.
• Provide members and providers with information about behavioral health benefits, community resources, managed care programs, and applicable policies.
• Analyze utilization data, propose alternative treatment plans, and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Coordinate with Physician Advisors, community agencies, and provider networks while advocating for patients’ treatment needs.

Requirements

• Current state, Commonwealth, or customer-specific professional licensure.
• One or more of the following credentials: CEAP, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LSW, or RN with applicable state or compact-state licensure.
• At least two years of post-degree experience in healthcare, behavioral health, psychiatric, or substance abuse care.
• Experience with inpatient and/or outpatient care settings, utilization management procedures, and behavioral health community resources.
• Knowledge of DSM-5 or the most current diagnostic edition.
• Strong organization, time management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
