General Manager I (Logistics)

What you will do

• Manage facility operations at a small, less complex location with typically 75 or fewer full-time employees.
• Lead managers and supervisors across operations, quality, inventory control, safety, security, productivity, and customer service.
• Manage facility P&L performance, forecasting, annual budgeting, purchasing, cost controls, and space utilization.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, development, workforce planning, performance management, and employee recognition.
• Maintain operational goals, standard operating procedures, reports, records, equipment maintenance, and facility programs.
• Serve as the primary customer contact, oversee contractual tasks and revisions, and ensure product safety, quality, legality, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may be accepted.
• At least 3 years of managerial leadership experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain management; alternative military qualifications may apply.
• Strong knowledge of logistics and distribution processes, regulatory requirements, warehouse operations, and safety programs, including OSHA compliance.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems, Quality Driven Management, Labor Management Systems, P&L, and managing managers.
• Strong planning, analytical, communication, presentation, collaboration, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work physically in a warehouse environment, including standing, walking, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing continuous improvement programs and managing full P&L financials.
• Technical competency in Lean, Kaizen, Work-out, process management, change management, and advanced statistical analysis.
