Customs Classifier (Customs Compliance)

What you will do

• Classify import and export goods according to customs regulations and Harmonized System codes.
• Review invoices, packing lists, and other shipment documentation for accurate tariff classification.
• Collaborate with customers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to obtain product information and resolve classification queries.
• Maintain current knowledge of customs regulations, trade agreements, tariff schedules, and industry developments.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies while maintaining accurate classification and customs clearance records.
• Coordinate with the Australian Border Force and other government agencies to support regulatory compliance and process improvement.

Requirements

• Secondary education or equivalent.
• Two years of customs clearance experience for Level I, three years for Level II, or four years for Lead roles.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and personal computers.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
