Logistics Specialist (Cold Chain)

Location: Melbourne, Australia; onsite role.

What you will do

• Coordinate end-to-end logistics operations, including 3PL warehouse management, import customs clearance and local delivery.
• Manage cold-chain and deep-freeze logistics for temperature-sensitive food products, maintaining required storage and transport conditions.
• Process logistics transactions in SAP and prepare customs-clearance documentation for brokers.
• Monitor import customs declarations, resolve operational issues, escalate risks, and manage logistics KPIs, service performance and cost verification with 3PL providers.
• Monitor warehouse and transport processes for efficiency, product integrity, traceability, food safety and quality compliance.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Planning, Finance, Quality and external providers; lead process and cost-optimization projects and investigate complaints or temperature excursions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or a related field.
• Over 5 years of logistics management experience and at least 5 years of import/export experience, including local distribution and warehousing.
• Solid experience managing food cold-chain and deep-freeze logistics, including temperature-controlled storage and transportation requirements.
• Hands-on approach, proactive attitude, strong communication and negotiation skills.
• High accountability, team spirit, logical and systemic thinking, and project management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in a multinational food, ingredients, health, biosciences or chemical environment.
• Knowledge of food-safety or quality-management requirements relevant to cold-chain and frozen products.
• Collaborative, detail-oriented and continuous-improvement mindset.
• Experience in a chemical-industry multinational company and SAP knowledge.
