Military & Family Life Counselor - Embedded

Location: Fort Campbell, Kentucky, United States; onsite at a military installation

Salary: $59,922–$100,280 per year, depending on location, skills, experience, education, and other permitted factors.

What you will do

• Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling, assessment, action planning, referrals, and follow-up for eligible service members and family members.
• Deliver behavioral health, training, and health and wellness presentations and activities.
• Provide consultation to brigade or regiment command structures while applying knowledge of military culture, structure, and mission.
• Respond to critical incidents, surges, and special requests, including schedule flexibility for urgent needs.
• Manage duty-to-warn and restricted-reporting situations according to Department of Defense protocols.
• Maintain confidential activity records and collaborate with supervisors, installation contacts, command representatives, and community resources.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited graduate program in a mental health-related field, behavioral health, or social work.
• Current unrestricted independent counseling license from a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, a U.S. territory, or commonwealth.
• At least five years of post-licensure clinical experience.
• U.S. citizenship and fluent English are required.
• Ability to pass NACI, installation records, criminal history, and FBI fingerprint checks; some assignments also require a secret clearance.
• Valid U.S. state driver’s license; a military vehicle operator’s permit may be required for certain TDY assignments.
