TL;DR
Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC), West of Mississippi Region (Behavioral Health): Providing confidential, non-medical, short-term counseling, consultation, outreach, and resilience support for service members and military families with an accent on solution-focused care, military transitions, and community engagement. Focus on supporting deployments, relocations, reintegration, family transitions, and compliance with Department of Defense program requirements.

Location: Remote - U.S.

Basic compensation: $60,100–$111,800 per year. The offered rate depends on contract affordability, working location, qualifications, experience, and internal parity.

What you will do

  • Provide confidential, non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling to service members, spouses, children, and families.
  • Deliver consultation, outreach, referrals, and resource navigation within military communities.
  • Support military families through relocations, deployments, reintegration, school changes, and other transitions.
  • Present trainings, workshops, wellness programs, and resilience-building initiatives.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with installation leadership, family support organizations, schools, and community resources.
  • Maintain compliance with Department of Defense program requirements and standards.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Independent, unrestricted clinical licensure such as LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, Psychologist, or an equivalent independent clinical license.
  • Experience providing counseling or behavioral health services.
  • Ability to work effectively with military populations and diverse communities.
  • Strong presentation, consultation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required background investigations or government credentials.

Nice to have

  • Military affiliation, military spouse experience, veteran status, or prior MFLC experience.
