What you will do

• Manage construction and maintenance activities to meet safety, quality, cost, schedule, and technical baselines.
• Lead construction teams, balance resources, and provide management direction to supervisors and project staff.
• Represent Construction on project teams and coordinate with Operations, Project Management, Design, Design Authority, the Department of Energy, and other functions.
• Analyze construction risks and performance, define corrective actions, and establish priorities.
• Provide status presentations and reports covering construction progress, manpower needs, cost, schedule, quality, and complex technical or financial issues.
• Support projects from conceptual design through construction, turnover, and completion while developing employees and maintaining accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 13–15 years of practical construction experience; equivalent combinations include an associate’s degree with 15–17 years or a high school diploma with 17–19 years.
• In-depth knowledge of construction, cost control, scheduling, subcontract administration, and construction strategies and techniques.
• Knowledge of tactical project management and planning, operations, maintenance, project start-up, construction management, and construction subcontracts.
• Working knowledge of national codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
• Experience planning and executing work in radiological or nuclear environments.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and hold a valid driver’s license. Personal vehicles must be registered and insured.

• Standard schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; alternate schedules may be used.
