Project Manager - Special Projects Division (Construction)

What you will do

• Manage construction projects through budgeting, procurement, scheduling, execution, close-out, and warranty follow-up.
• Estimate project costs and establish GMP or lump-sum budgets and contract prices.
• Negotiate subcontractor and material purchases, prepare bid packages, and coordinate buyout, shop drawing approval, and material delivery.
• Lead, train, and supervise project teams while coordinating with the Superintendent, Owner, Architect, subcontractors, management, and estimating staff.
• Implement safety and quality-control procedures, maintain project documentation and reporting, and ensure compliance with contract terms.
• Support business development and interviews while avoiding or mitigating claims and conflicts.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of field construction management experience, including supervisory experience.
• Leadership, problem-solving, organizational, communication, drafting, and computer skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Thorough understanding of project-management control systems, including scheduling, cost control, procurement, and estimating.
