Senior Manager, Procurement and Commercial Services

Annual salary: $131,000–$165,000 CAD

What you will do

• Develop and execute enterprise procurement, sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract management, logistics, and commercial governance strategies.
• Lead complex, high-value, and high-risk sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, vendor onboarding, and contract lifecycle management.
• Oversee logistics providers and the safe, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods, equipment, and materials.
• Advise leadership and project stakeholders on procurement strategies for capital investments, laboratory equipment, facility recovery, and growth programs.
• Establish supplier performance programs, procurement analytics, risk assessments, performance measures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing procurement and contract services team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, commerce, finance, engineering, law, or a related discipline.
• 12–15 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, logistics, or contract management.
• Significant leadership experience in a complex technical, engineering, utility, research, manufacturing, or professional services environment.
• Demonstrated experience with strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier relationship management, procurement governance, and project-based organizations.
• Strong business and financial acumen, negotiation, communication, analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of procurement governance, contract law fundamentals, commercial risk management, and ERP, procurement, project management, and reporting systems.

Nice to have

• Supply Chain Management Professional designation or equivalent.
• Master’s degree or advanced business education.
