Location: Remote within the United States with on-site meetings and visits to project sites nationwide; work site in Washington, DC

What you will do
- Provide independent engineering advisory support for the U.S. Department of Energy Loan Programs Office and Energy Dominance Financing Program.
- Conduct site-level technical observation, construction monitoring, field issue review, quality oversight, and progress validation.
- Review project documentation, technical and commercial interfaces, assumptions, risks, mitigations, conditions precedent, and disbursement readiness.
- Prepare daily reports, field directives, punch lists, technical field records, monitoring reports, and lender-ready due diligence outputs.
- Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders.
- Support data room reviews, contractor interviews, monitoring meetings, risk register updates, draw package checks, issue closure, and completion certification activities.
Requirements
- Must be located in the United States and able to attend on-site meetings and project-site visits nationwide.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geoscience, petroleum engineering, mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil, environmental, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of relevant engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory experience.
- Experience with oil and gas, power, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients.
- Experience with independent engineering review, technical due diligence, risk assessment, field observation, construction compliance, data room review, report writing, Excel-based analysis, and stakeholder coordination.
- Technical judgment, independence, analytical rigor, attention to detail, defensible documentation, issue escalation, and the ability to translate technical evidence into financing and risk implications.
Nice to have
- Professional credentials such as PE, PMP, CSP, API, NACE/AMPP, PMI, or other discipline-specific certifications.
- Experience supporting DOE, LPO, credit evaluation, lender review, EPC oversight, or long-term infrastructure financing.
