Care Manager (UM/UR) - Remote, Idaho Licensed (Behavioral Health)

Location: Remote, Idaho; Idaho licensure required. Candidates residing outside Idaho must also hold a license in their state of residence.

Salary: $64,285–$102,855 annually, plus potential short-term incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Authorize and review the utilization of inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance abuse services for medical necessity and effectiveness.
• Perform concurrent and quality clinical reviews within the scope of practice and experience.
• Provide telephone triage, crisis intervention, emergency authorizations, and member assistance.
• Develop discharge plans with providers and facilities and oversee their implementation.
• Educate members and providers about benefits, treatment resources, managed care programs, policies, and clinical criteria.
• Collect and analyze utilization data, support quality improvement initiatives, and collaborate with Physician Advisors and community agencies.

Requirements

• Current professional licensure is required, including Idaho licensure and any applicable state or customer-specific requirements.
• One or more applicable credentials with the required degree: CEAP, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LSW, or RN with state or compact-state licensure.
• At least two years of post-degree experience in healthcare, behavioral health, psychiatric, or substance abuse care.
• Experience with inpatient and/or outpatient care settings, utilization management procedures, and behavioral health community resources.
• Knowledge of DSM-5 or the most current diagnostic edition.
• Strong organization, time management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
