Sr. Director, Security Operations Center

Location: TX - Richardson, United States

Base pay: $161,500.00–$299,700.00 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Direct and manage the Cyber Fusion Center/Security Operations Center.
• Oversee enterprise cyber threat detection, alert handling, and escalation in accordance with SLA requirements.
• Coordinate with Cyber Defense and Investigation leadership to defend against cyber threats and improve security posture.
• Manage SOC activities covering vulnerability management, incident handling, forensics, investigations, and network scanning.
• Lead awareness campaigns, training initiatives, and executive-level cybersecurity briefings.
• Oversee the annual budget, allocate resources, and develop business cases and cost-benefit analyses for cybersecurity investments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of experience in information technology or information security, or 16 years of relevant experience without a degree.
• At least 5 years of management or leadership experience.
• Experience managing SOC teams and using cyber defense, investigation, analytical, ticket-tracking, forensics, and network-scanning technologies.
• Knowledge of hacker methodologies, system vulnerabilities, attack indicators, emerging technologies, IT standards, procedures, and policies such as HIPAA.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and critical-decision-making skills.
• Willingness to work non-standard hours when necessary and travel frequently for investigations, crisis management, or critical company programs.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
• CISSP certification.
