Director, Network Security Operations (Cybersecurity)

Location: United States — North Carolina — Sanford. Hybrid work requires attendance at the assigned hirify.global office 2–3 days per week or as needed; this role is not remote. Travel may be required, less than 20% domestic and/or international. Permanent U.S. work authorization is required.

Annual base salary: $176,600–$294,300, plus a 20% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Develop and execute the long-term network security vision, roadmap, and policies, with a focus on Zero Trust principles.
• Lead global network security operations, monitoring, service delivery, resilience, availability, and continuous improvement.
• Manage and develop a globally distributed network security operations team.
• Oversee firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, VPN, secure network access controls, and related technologies.
• Direct investigation, escalation, containment, restoration, and post-incident reviews for network security events.
• Manage operational metrics, risks, service gaps, regulatory alignment, and third-party security providers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in network security or cybersecurity, including 5+ years leading security teams or programs.
• Expertise with enterprise security technologies including firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, NAC, and VPN.
• Strong understanding of cloud security across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Experience with incident response, risk management, regulatory compliance, and large-scale or highly regulated environments.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States by any employer; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CCNP, GIAC, or a similar professional certification.
• Strategic thinking, analytical decision-making, and the ability to influence senior leadership.
• Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
