Director, IT Security (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States. Candidates must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States. Travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations may be required as business needs dictate.

Salary: $141,300–$223,200 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of cybersecurity platforms, including SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, vulnerability management, firewalls, and network security tools.
• Lead a team of security engineers and analysts while remaining hands-on with platform administration and technical problem-solving.
• Manage platform deployment, configuration, tuning, upgrades, integrations, licensing, service levels, and end-of-life planning.
• Evaluate security tools, manage vendors and contracts, and oversee cybersecurity platform budgets, forecasting, and cost optimization.
• Establish change control and configuration management practices and provide control-assurance evidence for security standards.
• Track platform health, uptime, risks, and operational KPIs; report status and roadmap updates to the Deputy CISO.

Requirements

• CISSP, CompTIA SecurityX, GIAC certification, or an equivalent platform or technical certification.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience and at least 2–3 years of leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience administering cybersecurity platforms and leading engineering or operations teams responsible for them.
• Experience building threat-based cybersecurity programs and designing and implementing security controls and compliance programs.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States; applications from outside the United States will not be considered.

Nice to have

• Vendor-specific certifications for SIEM, EDR, or IAM platforms.
