Senior Director, Security Operations (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Develop, manage, and evolve firm-wide threat hunting, event analysis, and incident response capabilities.
• Perform complex security analysis, including malware analysis, and lead responses to information security incidents.
• Provide technical leadership for SIEM and other information security platforms, including administration, configuration, monitoring, and technology selection.
• Integrate indicators of attack and compromise into relevant systems and manage human- and machine-readable threat intelligence.
• Partner with IT managers to establish security best practices and policies for internal systems.
• Serve as the final escalation point, communicate with senior leadership, and support knowledge transfer across IT and information security teams.

Requirements

• Must be based in New York City.
• University degree in a technology-related discipline or four years of relevant experience; a graduate degree in cybersecurity is preferred.
• CISSP certification and any two of CISM, CSX-P, GIAC GREM, OSCP, or GIAC GCIH are required.
• 1–3 years of experience leading and managing information security professionals, plus 3–5 years in incident response, digital forensics, threat hunting, or event analysis.
• Strong knowledge of information security principles, DFIR tools and techniques, packet analysis, SIEM, and data analytics.
• Experience securing SaaS platforms, Microsoft, Cisco, Unix/Linux, mobile devices, and other enterprise technologies; strong communication, leadership, prioritization, and confidentiality skills.
