Salary: $59,922–$100,280 per year, depending on location, skills, experience, education, and other permitted factors.

What you will do
- Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling to SOCOM service members, children, youth, and families.
- Conduct assessments, brief counseling, consultation, action planning, referrals, and follow-up.
- Deliver training, health and wellness presentations, and other installation activities.
- Build professional relationships with installation personnel, military leadership, community resources, and program points of contact.
- Respond to critical incidents, surges, and urgent requests, including flexible scheduling when required.
- Document counselor activity, maintain confidentiality, participate in supervision, quality improvement, training, and pilot programs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited graduate program in a mental health-related field, behavioral health, or social work.
- Current unrestricted independent counseling license from a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, a U.S. territory, or commonwealth.
- Less than two years of post-licensure clinical experience.
- U.S. citizenship and fluent English are required.
- Must pass NACI, installation records, criminal history, and FBI fingerprint checks and acquire and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Valid U.S. state driver’s license; physical ability to work across indoor and outdoor military installation or school environments and comply with site-specific requirements.
