Financial Modeling Advisor (Project Finance): Reviewing technical assumptions, financial models, scenarios, sensitivities, and debt-service metrics for large-scale U.S. energy infrastructure projects with an accent on technical due diligence, credit evaluation, and lifecycle monitoring. Focus on validating production, cost, schedule, and operating assumptions, preparing DSCR analyses and model audit notes, and translating engineering and commercial findings into lender-ready financing decisions.
Location: Remote within the United States, with on-site meetings and project-site work expected; Washington, DC and nationwide CONUS support.

What you will do
- Review technical assumptions used in project finance models, including production, throughput, yield, availability, cost, and schedule inputs.
- Support technical due diligence, credit evaluation, lifecycle monitoring, assurance, and financing-readiness activities for large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
- Perform scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, DSCR analysis, debt-service reviews, and financial assumption validation.
- Review project documentation and data rooms, identify risks and mitigations, and maintain assumption logs and information-request tracking.
- Prepare model audit notes, Independent Engineer reports, financing case outputs, and other traceable work products for lender and DOE review.
- Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience in engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory.
- Experience with oil and gas, power, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, accounting, business, infrastructure finance, or a related field.
- Experience with independent engineering review, technical due diligence, risk assessment, financial model review, scenario analysis, sensitivities, and debt-service metrics.
- Strong Excel-based analysis, report writing, documentation, stakeholder coordination, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work remotely within the United States and attend on-site meetings or project-site activities nationwide.
Nice to have
- MBA, CFA, PMP, CPA, or project finance credentials.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
- Experience with DOE or Loan Programs Office-style documentation and federal energy financing programs.
