Process Engineer (Oil & Gas)

Location: Remote within the United States, with on-site meetings and project-site work expected nationwide. Initial work site: Washington, DC.

What you will do

• Provide independent engineering advisory support for DOE Energy Dominance Financing technical due diligence, credit evaluation, lifecycle monitoring, and assurance activities.
• Evaluate process design, yield, operating conditions, production capability, efficiency metrics, technical feasibility, and performance assumptions for oil and gas, power, utilities, and infrastructure projects.
• Review project documentation, data rooms, technical and commercial interfaces, construction information, operating data, and borrower or contractor submissions.
• Prepare process simulations, heat and material balances, technical feasibility reviews, performance summaries, risk assessments, and independent engineer reports.
• Support conditions precedent, disbursement readiness, draw package checks, completion certification, monitoring meetings, and issue closure tracking.
• Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geoscience, petroleum engineering, mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil, environmental, or a related technical field.
• Experience with oil and gas, power, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients.
• Knowledge of independent engineering review, technical due diligence, process design, yield analysis, operating conditions, production capability, and performance assumptions.
• Ability to perform data room reviews, information request tracking, Excel-based analysis, report writing, and clear presentation of findings.
• Availability to work remotely from within the United States and attend on-site meetings or project-site visits nationwide.

Nice to have

• PE, PMP, CSP, API, NACE/AMPP, PMI, or other discipline-specific credentials.
• Experience supporting DOE, LPO, lender, credit, construction monitoring, or project finance stakeholders.
