Senior Gas Project Engineer (Civil Engineering)

Location: Hybrid; must be located in Central NY, Western NY, or Northwestern PA

Salary: $75,000 - $125,000 per year

What you will do

• Produce quality basemaps and construction drawings for clients and regulatory agencies using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to support utility client goals across various gas infrastructure projects.
• Develop energization/de-energization procedures and conduct contractor cost estimations.
• Perform code and compliance reviews, gap analyses, and O&M/construction standard audits.
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior staff, setting goals and monitoring progress.
• Manage municipal highway permits and right-of-way easements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in civil or mechanical engineering (or related field).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Natural Gas industry (Transmission and Distribution).
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving history.
• Willingness to travel to project sites in Northwestern PA, Central NY, and Western NY.
• Ability to perform field work and carry approximately 10 lbs throughout the workday.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineering (PE) license or GTI Competent Engineer Certification.
• Experience with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
• Experience with Hydrogen transportation and/or blending.
