TL;DR

Civil Engineer (Oil and Gas) (Pipeline and Site Development): Delivering civil designs, permitting documents, and construction drawings for pipeline and site development projects with an accent on grading, earthwork, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control. Focus on designing constructible access and drainage solutions, preparing Pennsylvania permits, and coordinating multidisciplinary project delivery.

Location: Hybrid work from the Wilkes-Barre or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania offices.

Salary: $98,000–$130,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Support project management and design execution for pipeline and site development projects.
  • Prepare site layouts, grading, earthwork, and access road designs using vehicle tracking tools.
  • Analyze stormwater and design stormwater management systems, including calculations, reports, and drawings.
  • Develop erosion and sediment control plans with BMP selection, design calculations, and reporting.
  • Prepare permit applications and supporting documents for ESCGP, NPDES, HOP, Chapter 102, Chapter 105, zoning, and land development.
  • Coordinate with clients, municipal agencies, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary project teams while producing construction-ready drawings and specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • At least 5 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
  • Engineer-in-Training certification required; Pennsylvania PE preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong experience with Chapter 102 permitting, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control design.
  • Experience with Hydraflow, HydroCAD, or similar hydrology and hydraulics software.
