Installation Technician III - Start Up (Commercial Refrigeration)

What you will do

• Start up and functionally check newly installed HVAC, plumbing, electrical, building automation, and refrigeration systems.
• Verify equipment operation against engineering and factory specifications and applicable city and trade codes.
• Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, sensors, controllers, mechanical components, cabling, communication loops, and refrigerant leak systems.
• Interpret blueprints, control drawings, specifications, technical manuals, and regulations; identify errors and omissions.
• Diagnose system performance, perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, and complete customer, invoicing, and EPA documentation.
• Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal managers, while managing multiple priorities and leading others on projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with 10 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination; a technical degree is preferred.
• EPA 608 Certification, Level 3.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; ability to maintain truck inventory and follow vehicle maintenance guidelines.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at high elevations, lift up to 50 pounds, and work nights, weekends, and out of town as required.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, customer focus, judgment, and project management skills.
