Senior Director, Actuarial Services - Remote, Certified Actuary (FSA/ASA)

Location: Remote within the United States

Base salary: $142,565–$256,595 annually. The range is based on national data and may vary by location, skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors.

What you will do

• Lead actuarial work supporting one or more managed health plans.
• Own health plan pricing, rate adequacy, claims reserving, and care expense liability reserves.
• Direct actuarial activities for the monthly financial close process.
• Design, build, and implement complex cost modeling tools and improve medical expense forecasting.
• Interpret emerging care expense results for local and corporate leadership.
• Interface with state and federal governing agencies and collaborate on complex medical cost analyses.

Requirements

• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation required; FSA is preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant actuarial experience required.
• 5+ years of management experience required.
• Experience in a comprehensive managed health care plan environment.
• Experience with claims reserving techniques, premium rate development, and health plan risk adjustment methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or mathematics, with strong communication, negotiation, collaboration, and independent prioritization skills.
